I am a young professional new to living downtown and was looking for a hair studio. The options are very limited so I went with Revivance. Upon arrival I was very skeptical. The salon is very small and VERY outdated. With it being located in the Hyatt Regency, being downtown, and with the prices I was expecting a very current sleek interior. After the initial surprise my experience was wonderful! Sonia did a great job at giving me a very current fashionable haircut. She listened to what I wanted and I am very pleased!

For downtown Houston to have so many workers and gaining in residents, it definitely lacks in hair and nail salons. This hair salon is inside the Hyatt Regency on the 2nd floor.
I found out about this tiny gem from a co-worker that has beautifully flowing and bouncy hair. I tend to flip-flop between hair dressers but I was definitely sick of some huge price tags I was paying and having someone comment that my hair looked dry. I need my hair stylist to tell me and also tell me how to fix it.
So, I paid a visit to Revivance and haven’t looked back. Sonia has helped me not only lessen the sticker shock of hair upkeep but she’s also helped my tresses get back to smoothness.
I go for a haircut and highlights and will be switching it up for the holidays. Sonia also colored my hair for my wedding and the day she was supposed to do it, it stormed heavily in Houston but she made an effort to get to downtown Houston. Thank you!
The interior reminds me of when my mom would get her hair done in the 90s but that gives me some comfort and isn’t a bad thing. Revivance has all of the amenities you need to make your hair what you want…so unless you need a glass of wine to go with your cut (which, I’m sure can be provided if you asked…it is in a hotel for crying out loud) then you’ll be just fine.
There is valet at the hotel or take the Metro Rail and walk a few blocks over. It is SUPER convenient for downtown workers and denizens.
Also, if you love good music, their playlist is so good…bravo to whomever is putting it together.

Located inside the Hyatt Regency on the 2nd floor, this hair salon is small but wonderful. Marsha, the owner, was so kind and did an amazing job dying and cutting my hair. She was helpful in picking the right color, and got it to match exactly what I had described and shown her.
I would absolutely recommend to anyone for anything from a simple cut to a full color. It’s a small space so I would recommend having an appointment just to be safe, although I did not and she was still able to take me right away. Prices are reasonable too!

And way too reasonably priced. Location in the downtown Hyatt is convenient for me and close to many office buildings. I’ve seen her work on female friends and it’s great.
